Ingredients for the Garlic and Onion Chip Dip…

There are only a few ingredients in this Garlic and Onion Chip Dip recipe so it’s super duper easy to make!

Feel free to make the whole recipe to serve a crowd, or cut it in half for just a few!

You’ll use two 8 ounce blocks of cream cheese, ½ cup of mayonnaise, 1 tablespoon minced garlic, and 1 tablespoon minced onion (you can substitute 1/2 tablespoon dried onion flakes).

I like to use the canned minced garlic you find at the grocery store.  I always keep a jar on hand for making recipes.  If you like more garlic flavor you can certainly up the quantity.  No vampires at our house, lol!!!

I also like to use dried onion flakes too!  It can’t get any easier, and no tears from chopping onion!!!

Mixing the Garlic and Onion Chip Dip…

Soften the blocks of cream cheese in the microwave until they’re able to be stirred with a spoon.  Or leave them out on the cupboard for a few hours to soften.

Add in the mayo to the softened cream cheese.  Stir those two lovelies together until it’s all creamy and dreamy!!!

Stir in the minced garlic and the minced onion.

Taste test the dip to make sure you have enough garlic and onion for your liking.  There are no rules saying you can’t add more!  Although I should tell you the flavors mix together more and become a bit stronger when they’ve chilled in the fridge overnight.

Store left over dip in a covered container in the fridge for up to a week.

We love to eat this dip with Ruffles or Kettle Cooked Potato Chips.  So sinfully good!!!  You definitely won’t be able to stop at just one!

Variation to this Recipe…

As a variation and to up the zip factor, you can add 1 teaspoon of prepared horseradish to this recipe!  We love both versions!!!

Enjoy!!!
